Family Works South Canterbury provides a counselling services for Ara Institute students studying in Ashburton, Timaru and Oamaru.
The service provides the opportunity to speak in confidence to a qualified counsellor about anything that is worrying you, such as:
This is service available to you by appointment only, with appointments of about 60 minutes. You will see the same counsellor for all your visits.
Counselling appointments are available during term time:
As a student you are entitled to three free sessions per year.
You can book a session by either contacting Family Works, or visiting the Health Centre reception on campus.
Bring your Student ID card or your course receipt on your first visit.
