Join us for an evening at the Landing Services Building in Timaru for the ‘In Bloom Charity Gala’. This event will take place on Saturday September 28th, 2024 at 7pm (with doors opening from 6:30pm).
Come and support Presbyterian Support South Canterbury as we gather to make a positive impact in our community. This special gala aims to raise awareness and funds for our Family Works Service and our Homestead Heritage re-build. Indulge in canape’s (included in ticket price) and enjoy an opportunity to let your hair down to live entertainment from the band ‘Different Strokes’. Cash bar available along with a photo booth and croquet lawn.
The ‘In Bloom’ theme is in honour of the special Camellia planted at the Croft which was gifted to Lorna Grant by husband Hamish. This philanthropic couple were the previous owners of our Homestead Heritage building and held fundraisers of their own in the gardens at 12 Park Lane. Hamish and Lorna went on to gift their home to Presbyterian Support who continue to provide aged care services to our community. The Homestead has also housed a number of staff over the years, including our Family Works counselling services.
On the night there will be two raffles available to purchase. The first being a hand-crafted piece of jewellery which was inspired by Lorna Grant’s cherished camellia. This piece has been crafted with passion and expertise by local jeweller Brent White from The Ringmakers in Timaru and is a tribute to the spirit of giving and the beauty of nature. The second raffle provides the opportunity to win a sophisticated Limited Edition Rat Pack man’s watch. These raffles will help Presbyterian Support preserve the heritage for future generations and continue to be able to provide free services to those in our community that need them the most.
