Filling our Family Works Emergency Foodbank for South Canterbury families
With the cost of living crisis families are really feeling the pinch at the moment and we are seeing large numbers of new families experiencing hardship for the first time. Last year our Foodbank gave out nearly 2000 food parcels and the need continues to rise.

The Foodbank supports our clients but also families that are referred to us from other community agencies such as the Police, Oranga Tamariki, Plunket, Public Health Nurses, local schools, migrant families through Multicultural Aoraki and some Pacifica and Tongan families.
In the last financial year Family Works provided support for over 1200 children, families and individuals in South Canterbury with food parcels given out.

Your donation will make an immediate and real difference to a family living in your community. We do not have a set amount for our food parcels as we determine the need on the family that walk through our door. You can select whatever amount you wish for a one-off donation and there is also an option to become a Friend of the Family Works Foodbank by making a regular monthly donation.
